    Hey guys,
Just bought a new BlackBerry Z10 last week. It's quite a good phone,no kidding. The only problem I have is its battery life. Really annoying it lasts less than 5 hrs even on 2g net. Is there any way I can extend its battery life?

Hi there. Extending your battery life on a Z10 is more of an art. Turn Wifi off when not needed, dim your screen whenever possible, close apps when not in use, turn off auto syncing apps... and most importantly, shop around for the Z10 battery bundle. You can plug it into your Z10 without having to take the battery out. Pretty handy!
That aside, the Z10 has been one of my favourite phones.
    Enjoy.

Keep the OEM and buy an extended battery for like US$25. I get about 24hours on heavy usage, 3 email account, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, WeChat, Crackberry, Phone calls

Someone recently posted that switching from Wifi back to mobile data causes massive battery drain on BB10.
I tried not using Wifi on my Z10 and I have noticed an improvement in my battery life.
One of the other things I have found is, Location services is another drain on my battery, even in flight mode, so if you're not using it then switch it off.

Switching off location services is a bad idea. If you switch it off, BlackBerry protect won't be able to locate your phone, in case you lose it.

Hi as Jaydee5799 stated there are many threads on battery life & how to extend it & 3xberry has given some good tips as well. I run my screen at about 40% and more to the cool white side. What OS are you on & which model do you have? My battery life is much better now than it was in the beginning and each upgrade has seem to make an improvement. I hope your Z10 fits your needs as well as mine does for me. Rocking 24-7 with my Z10 & 16GB PlayBook.

Best bet will be to purchase a mugen battery or the 20 dollar Chinese version works great. I just bought the z30 the other day, so I will be selling the mugen battery for 45 dollars if anyone is interested. :-)

And what exactly you do on the phone? Don't expect it to last 10h playing games or watching YouTube. It's a phone, not a tablet.

This is an annoying problem of Blackberry and you can not solve it 100%. If you reduce your resource usage you can extend the battery life up to 50%, not more...

    Sure about that?
Screen on and playing movie drains my battery in about 4.5h, with normal phone use I'm getting 12-18h, on standby >48h. It all depends what is running and for how long.
