Ok so i made a test :

I have 3 emails account on pop/imap and my battery dies in 5 h buy i tried to remove refresh rate from all 3 acount and set them to NEVER and only "push if available " i checked and WOW my battery double the life..

I still receive emails very fast and more juice for the day..

Now i must charge it late at night afyer a heavy usage all day..

Battery is very poor for z10. Have to keep data services off whenever i put down the phone. Have to reduce brightness and log off skype. Even after all these, my battery dies at 2pm. Except the battery z10 is top class smartphone

Seriously??! I get maybe 4-6 hrs on one charge. And for some reason, the past 2 weeks or so my battery life has gotten WORSE. I don't have 4G turned off, however. After coming from a 9930 for almost 3 yrs, the 4G speed makes me giddy.

My z10 on a full charge I get 15 hour or more it's kinda funny cause I work where every one else have iPhone and Android they all fight over the charger port cause we work out of a vehicle doing sales and by 1oclk every one in the van is fighting over the one cigirate lighter adapter while I'm able to KEEP MOVING!!!!!

Here's my experience with my zee's battery, the first two weeks it only last 5-6 hours per charged, but on the third week it suddenly last for more than 20 hours..

Running the latest os 10.1.0.2354 official, while also having had the following turned off :
- device encryption
- connect to bbm (in app permissions setting)
- LTE
- wifi and bluetooth (while not in use)
- bb link via Internet connection
- push on my yahoo mail accounts (as yahoo doesn't have push imap for some sh*t reasons) and utilizes outlook.com which has the EAS for push email
- diagnostic reports
- GPS location for apps which don't really need it (from the app permissions)

I now can use my phone for up to 16-17 hrs on low to moderate use or 12-13 hrs on moderate use or on high and intense usage, 9-10 hours. 8-5 is not a biggy. The phone sometimes heats up but just for a short moment only.

After updating to 10.1 and some email ids to forever, my battery is going for 12-15 hrs. I read OS 2354 has been battery hogger so I have installed 2062 two days before. Lets us see how improvement it would be on new OS.

I'm also getting a good 15 hours per charge on my Z10.

Have four emails two set to sync every 12 hours one is push other at 30 min sync blue tooth and wifi on brightness 100% and get to use it quiet A bit and battery needs only the usual overnight charge.

Disable lock screen gestures if you haven't tried it. Battery life was my main complaint disabled that setting and can get through the whole say on moderate usage. Also disabled sending diagnostics to rim. I leave wifi, blue tooth, nfc, location services on at all times.

Wow, these numbers you guys are throwing around are blowing my mind. I have 2 batteries I'm constantly swapping (one I keep charged in the battery charging bundle) because I can't get more than 6 hrs on one charge. Makes me wonder if I have 2 bum batteries.

This is how i survive for the whole day. I dont need to charge, but i have a 3 batteries that lasted me 16-18 hours.
I guess i am good.
The battery will last forever though, if you put the airplane mode on or you dont constantly checking ur phone's browser, cb, etc.haha

Weekends are better than my work week. With BT on and wifi off during the week, I would say I get 7-8 hours on average. Owning two batteries sure helps.

Mine lasts about as long as my 4S which is about 6 hrs.

The more I read about battery problems the more I am convinced that the majority of these problems are due to email.

Most email is now stored in "THE CLOUD" (said in a Darth Vader voice)

Thus if you setup your email on your phone to sych all, most phones will now try to download all your emails into an offline store.
If you have an email with a 20mb attachment from a year ago then your phone will try to download a copy.
If this attachment or email is corrupt I believe that the phone will keep trying to download it.
This eats data but more importantly eats battery with constant retries and it is not something you can see happening.

As a way to test this theory clear out the main email account you will use on your phone or open a new blank clean account just for use on your phone.

Old BBs data used to go through BIS, thus was compressed and did not cause as big a problem as it is now.
