It REALLY makes me mad that Blackberry just REFUSES TO LEARN! How in the world can they screw up on battery on their latest preimum phone 9900, and REPEAT IT AGAIN on Z10?

It's absolutely horrible, I am getting LESS life on Z10 than 9900 (on the best OS, earlier OS was craop)! This is my work phone and I gotto take calls, emails, etc.. and I simply CANNOT finish a day, or even half a day without charging. I am on latest OS (Rogers), and on LTE, however most of the day I am on Wifi. It simply cannot hold charge for whatever the reason... it is even worse than 9900, as I could charge 9900 for 10-15 mins and take a 30mins call, but I CANNOT DO THAT on Z10, charging take a lot longer.

As much as I am loving Z10, the battery is completely ruining the experience, and PLEASE do not tell me that battery is replacable, so what? They should have AT LEAST given it the same battery as Q10, what's the logic behind that? Like the bigger screen, less efficient screen (LCD vs AMOLED) get the SMALLER battery while the smaller more efficient screen gets the larger? Give me a break!

PS. Anyone claiming they get a full day of use on Z10 is either lying or just not using their phone at all.

I get 9 hours where I got around 12 on my 9900, oh well such is life, you dont like it, you should get another phone... I for one hate it but dont mind popping in another battery or charging my phone....

I've had plenty of phones and the Z10 has average battery life, much better than most of the android phones I've had. Considering its 4G I'm impressed with the battery life and I'm still waiting on the update from Verizon.

I got 12 hours today with emails, texts, BBM chats, phone calls and a little Web searching. Also had foursquare and BBM running in the background and a total of 2 hours of navigation and on LTE

CONDITION YOUR BATTERY.

When I sold my 9900 to make room for the Z10 the battery life was superb. 2 days no problem

I get 12-13 hours on heavy usage on mine per day. LTE on. Brightness at 75%. Using bbm & texing all the time. Get around 120 emails a day. Listen to music for about 20 minutes & talk usage is around 30 minutes or 40 minutes depending on if i am in my office or home. Your battery must be defective as you can see most of us are getting high battery times.

Also which carrier are you with & which OS version are you with? I am with Rogers running the latest update.

Yeah I get through a day okay. And I'd definitely say it's better than the 9900. I just took delivery of the spare battery and charger for me and my wife.

I had a few bad days with mine too, it ended up being a bluetooth speaker in my basement. When the speaker was on the main floor there was no problem, I guess there is more power draw with distance?

I also get 12 hours+ on average per day. People need to give their battery a week or two to initialize before posting about battery problems. I had **** battery life at first too. It does get better. Give it time.

Use your battery up and down like 15 times. It gets better. But i still recommend a few extra in the pocket.

I had to trade my 9900 for a 9790 because the marginal signal at my house would drain the battery too fast. The 9790 was not good on battery either but the signal was better at my house. The Z10 is better than both of them with light use, but I do use my Z10 more due to the novelty factor.

I've had my Z10 for a month now and I barely get a 12 hour day. My brightness is at 20% and while I'm at work for 9hrs its been idle. Then when I use it for about 4 hours, it dies - some BBM, texting, lots of incoming emails from my Gmail and Live accounts, Twitter and the occasional Facebook notifications.

No clue what's going on, but the battery is just slightly more than my 9900.

I get better battery life out of my z10 then from 9930. If I don't top off for 15 minutes I don't get through the day. 9930 was not as good. My house doesn't have good service so there are guys who could get better battery life. So I'm not sure why guys are saying it's awful

Find better somewhere else...I get 14-16 hours of moderate use, I took it off the charger this morning at 8 when I left for school. I have answered 7 emails and received 23 today from 2 different email accounts. CrackBerry app and forums several times, snap chat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, NHL game center app for the last few hours, TheScore for MLB scores since about 2 today. 6 phone calls and I am at 35% still. I won't plug it in until I go to bed around 12 tonight and I bet it is just at 20% then.

Remember, 20% is not a dead phone I still get 3 hours at the least when mine hits 20%. The battery life on the Z10 is comparable to my 9810 and I am happy with it. Get over it people...

There is no need to rant. How new is your battery?

It takes time for the battery to get better and the new O/S makes a huge difference.

I've never had a single day where my Z10 is on standby. I use it all the time. I need one recharge.

Search the forum for the various threads about lithium batteries.

Don't understand the need to rant. My Samsung Note battery is far worse.

Google for the BlackBerry extended battery case. Exactly what you need.

Why does everyone compare the crappy 9900 to a phone 3 times faster with a better screen which uses more power. That being said i can use my Z10 all day no problems, fairly heavy users.

Condition your battery make sure you have the latest update and go nuts!

Why do people still complain about battery life? If you notice that the battery is getting low, charge it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with charging the battery even if he have 70% left. Letting the battery discharge completely is not the way to condition the battery.

I did manage 12 hours on the first battery today, but similar to your experience, I did not use it nearly as much today as I have been. Today was moderately light use. When used heavily, the battery normally lasts about 8 hours.

Sure you can get a full day. With the Z10, you're allowed to carry a spare battery/batteries.

Unlike some other phones.
