    yet to find a rep that can answer my questions,
    i have even asked for them to re-register my sim, they act like i'm crazy saying i have to do it on the phone
    Ok, the "e" would be edge (capitalized only when Data is active). This is the same problem i encountered with digicel at first. The phone only got "e" and nothing else. I called them a few times, no luck. Then last night i finally tried the sim in my Note and it still said e, activated 4G data and still "E". So when i called them, the rep said to do a battery pull as she's going to update the info on the sim! Worked like a charm. i just swapped the sim from the note to the Z10 which said 4g (APN settings changed to allow access and 4G is now available with the BBRY logo). My advice would be to keep calling them until you find someone competent to help resolve the situation...

    Not sure if it's software related though, but did you get the recent 10.85 update?

    it could not read the data from the sim when setting up the phone out of the box, so it connected via wifi and updated

    unfortunately no, i just got off the phone with a rep again, asking them to re-register the sim, they said they don't do that the phone does

    and also that no data plan they have at bmobile is compatible with the z10 yet

    I saw a previous poster said he was getting 4G data (had a previous sim and data with bmobile, cut the sim and it worked no problem). I activated my data on my Note (android plan digicel offers) then transferred the sim to the Z10. I suggest trying the digicel card or a bmobile card from someone in the household/one from an iP4 or along those lines... (just to confirm it's the sim, which from the sounds of it seems very much the problem)

    Nice people lol im from trinidad to,but in ny for college and for d record those prices are ridiculous u getting the Z10 4 550-600us now,i have one (won it) and its the -3 version coming trinidad for vacation in june, for the fella who having problems,just tell them u want a internet plan anyone android or iphone plan,activate it on the sim then put it in the phone,also the bbm and stuff should be working with wifi thats how bb10 works.

    They have 3g plans i believe tho,so try those,dont mention its a bbry to them tell them another phone,swear i does fix people phones and services more dan digi or bmobile customer service i does wonder who they putting in there

    yeah... that's true. just checked on digicel's website, apparently they're using 1900MHz (HSPA/UMTS) so it does look like you'll only be getting edge from Digicel. Not sure about bmobile though. Goodluck.

    im an existing Blackberry customer, i already had the BIS on my sim... i changed it to data and that didn't work either

    cap, the 4g doesn't really bother me........ i just like to be connected to my office via email while on the go regular data would be just fine

    ok so i spoke to another rep again, yes they have reports of some z10 users on bmobile receiving data on their end, but they are not sure as to why some are getting and some are not

    so not sure how many cb'ers are from the caribbean but just putting out the word the Z10 is available from small dealers in trindad. Prices range from $7000.00 ttd(usd$1086) to $5500 ttd(usd$854). The carriers are gonna get them sometime in june so if u can wait these are ur options. ive seen both the white and black available.

    yep, BBRY is doing well down there, Curves are the winning breed by a long shot as far as i've seen... but the Bold's and Torch series are coming in (as the prices drop). Only thing that is lacking is the proper CSRs. There is the odd occasion that you do find someone competent and helpful which does go a long way, but it's too few and far between. My experience has been horrible with the reps, but I did speak to a couple from Bmobile and Digicel that were actually helpful and polite!

    @tr1ad, your STL100-2 model won't work on either bmobile or digicel because it doesn't have the 1900 band for HSDPA.

    I have an STL100-1 model, factory unlocked and wasn't able to access the 4G network but after numerous calls to TSTT, i eventually got a new SIM, maintaining my same number though and this solved my issue.

    My phones (9300 & Z10) were detecting the TSTT 3G (on 9300) and 4G (on Z10) network but i wasn't able to connect to it. The CSR said the SIM may have an issue so she suggested i get it swapped.

    After getting the new SIM, i purchased a 4G bundle and I now have access to the 4G network. (I put the sim in the 9300 and did the necessary setup before placing it in my Z10)

    -It took TSTT's helpdesk 9 days to figure out the issue. Each CSR gives you a different BS story...sigh

    Not sure if EDGE would work because only when i used the *3282# code to buy a 4G bundle was my data working...

    I wasn't getting 4G data at first, only EDGE. You can try adding a day pass and see if it works.
