Are you inadvertently holding down the power button in some way? This happens to me when I accidentally push the power button taking the device out of my pocket.

No I don't even touch the power button. It's some other problem.

I have the same problem. It shuts down even if I have 100% battery. My Z10 is only 2weeks old.

When I had it, i had issues on battery draining and processor heating up so i did Security Wipe. The battery draining issue was fixed but now this ---- it Auto Power Off. I need to plug the charger for it to open again.

I need help. Its frustrating coz i need to use the phone already.

I had a similar thing happening, when I slightly flexed the phone it would restart. I changed the battery to a spare battery and the problem stopped. Might be something to try?

Does it always turn off at 17%? What were you running when it turned off?

Since you posting using CB10, please type

    myver (spacebar)

and it will fill in model and OS.

There are battery calibration issues with the Z10stl100-1 version of the phone. Supposedly, they will be fixed when BB finally issues the 10.3.1 OS upgrade.

That model z10 has issues with battery calibration and premature turn-offs. SUPPOSEDLY there will be a fix coming in 10.3 OS. My gripe is that if there's a fix for a real nuisance problem, BB should release it NOW not in a few months. I don't care if it ruins their grand launch scheme. Folks have real problems with the model 1 and BB should fix it NOW.
