Never owned this phone before. For those of you that own it is this a good price for the phone and is it a worthy back up? I'm also considering a silver passport I saw online for 180.

I wouldn't pay over $50 for one but that's just me. As for being a great back up, I guess. Kinda depends on what you're expecting. It's good for basic needs.

I love mine, but unless you know what you're looking for, you might be disappointed by:

Short battery life (as little as 1-3 hours if it's searching for LTE, using maps, etc with an old battery). Though you can get extra batteries and a charger for a few dollars

BB10 limitations in terms of software + poor Android performance: slow and limited in 2017 due to old, dual core processor.

I love mine for essential communications, and have used it as a daily driver for almost five years, but it's a five-year old phone on a moribund OS that won't run most apps.

I'd pay $72 for a new in box device. Otherwise only <$50.

Just bought one use last week used for 38€ ~ 45$....very good condition. So as was said before you really should not pay too much for the device.
