Anyone been with AT&T for a long time know how fast they release updates?

    Posted via Crackberry Z10
Been with them since 2008. They weren't fast at all with the BBOS updates, but what they did release was usually pretty stable. It's nice to see that they were so quick to release updates for the Z10 though.

In also find not disappointing that the people that stepped up first to support BlackBerry are at the back of the line for fixes. I don't want to be too skeptical but if no thought that the update wasn't as good as people expect for the Z10, then I'd be worried that public opinion on the update would hurt expected sales of the Q10. So it may be revenue driven. I guess as a shareholder I should be happy they drive revenue. Lol

I blame the carriers for this delay. I have no doubt the software will be ready at the same time the Q10 launches

You don't really believe that blackberry spent all this time and energy on the z10 to "Cast it aside"? The people who have supported blackberry's physical keyboard and waited for the Q10 while all the focus was on the z10 could have said the same thing for the last few months as they were cast aside. These updates are controlled more by the carriers. 10.1 will be ready when the q10 is launched but it's the carriers who will take weeks to push it out.

I really don't know why everybody thinks you can add new features and have monthly updates especially when big changes to the os have to go through the carriers. #Ignorance

From BlackBerry 10.1 update coming to Z10 weeks after Q10 launch | MobileSyrup.com

BlackBerry announced today that its first major update for the BlackBerry Z10, dubbed BB10.1, will arrive weeks after the release of the Q10 on May 1st.

The update will introduce many of the same features found in the Q10 shipping software, including Pin-to-Pin messaging, contacts suggestions in the Hub, HDR photos in the Camera app, custom message notifications on a per-account basis, in addition to performance improvements and better low-light photos.

The BlackBerry Z10 has seen one update since its launch in early February which cleared up many of the launch-related bugs. It also addressed a major sticking point, battery life, improving it substantially over the shipping software.

Such a significant update is subject to carrier approval, so no word on exactly when the software will hit, but wed imagine it will be before the end of May.

You guys should be glad it is only 2months after release of Q10...android for example is already a long time on 4.2...and still no updates on my S3 ...for BB its all about marketing ....its a good decision to first have the Q10 the newest software and shortly after that the Z10 will get it soon enough...we all want BB back in business...so to me its a good strategy....wonder how people will react when they announce a new flagship within this year ....ohw...and 36 hours left then ill have mine Z10 !!!
