Months and years can be counted as weeks too. Perhaps, that's how BlackBerry counts time?

Most issue I have is I need to go into Facebook to get my notifications they don't get pushed

    Posted via CB10
Well darn. That's fairly important to me, I use Facebook quite a bit. Guess 10.1 will have to wait if that's the case.

Seconds, hours, days, weeks, no matter the word, we should all take this with a grain of salt.

If only we had a specific date

Disappointing. Was hoping it would be available for Z10 as well when Q10 launches.

I love my BBs but why do I always feel like a second class citizen.

    Posted via CB10
Exactly. The point of a modular operating system is ease of software updates meaning we should be getting monthly updates, not once in a Blue Moon.

Even ErinnM has become cynical already. BlackBerry get your act together or I'm sending you to Afghanistan as a gift to the Taliban. With all the delays associated with BlackBerry software updates the Taliban will cease to be a threat to anyone. ROFLMAO Thorsten can personally deliver the smartphones.

Indeed, with the flexibility of QNX you would hope that software updates would be a much quicker process, but alas. I can only hope it'll get better with time. It's not like I'm not happy with my Z10 right now, but it's still always nice to get improvements in a timely manner.

Everyone has to remember that this isn't iOS where apple controls everything most software updates these days even android are by carrier, as I've mentioned if blackberry sent the Q10 to carriers that means they also have a copy of 10.1 to test and load their bloatware onto so the carriers are delaying the 10.1 to Z10 to hope to sell more Q10s and convert Z10 people who just need the latest and greatest software without knowing any better

Problem with carriers is that updates don't sell phones. new phones sell phones. you already own the phone and are on a contract.(unless you are T-Mobile) so they don't care if they get the update out in a timely matter. Its not like you are just going to jump carriers and they know it.

Give the Q10 owners their moment in the sun... I'm as excited for 10.1 as anybody but it sounds like BlackBerry is going to keep it exclusive to the Q for a while to generate interest. Don't forget we got BlackBerry 10 first here on the Z while all the prospective Q customers have had to sit on their hands ;-)

And unfortunetly I can't test panorama, I can't justify spending 4$ on a app I'll barely use, even with built in 360 on the Google nexus I never used it

I can already see the numerous threads that will pop up complaining about the q10 having 10.1 and Skype for a whole month. Common BlackBerry step your game up and meet those deadlines!

Me too! I remember I really pressured them for 10.0.1 back then... I don't know if it helped but we got it a week after the other carriers. so call tech support and ask them if it doesn't come out with the other carrier!

Just curious, why use it versus a BBM chat? Attachments?
I didn't know what the use for this was either until yesterday.

Before this 10.1, I tried to invite a contact to BBM with the PIN, The contact basically said work won't allow BBM, just pin to pin.

I didn't register what that contact said because there was no pin to pin on the Z10 until 10.1. Then someone mentioned on the forum that some companies/agencies will disable BBM, so pin to pin is used instead. Finally something clicked in my head and I tried the pin to pin.

So that's what I was doing with my contact all afternoon.

Anyhoo, don't know if that is the only useful thing about it, but that's why I use it now. I think people mentioned it's more private?

Pin to pin is a bare bones bbm in more a email format however quicker to send/recieve and is more secure than regular bbm
