I really hopes this ends up being true. I love my Z10 and lucky I haven't had the problems many other VZW users have had. But VZW needs to update the OS. There are still some apps that I can't get because they require 10.0.10 or later.

Not exactly a Sunami!
When I activated my New Phone on 3/29 there was a small update with all the Verizon Crap and that was it.
Just spotted this on My Verizon Page

I just validated this. Logged on to my vzw account and low and behold it shows "Update coming Soon" in support page.

I just hope they didn't forget to take that down from the. 422 update because that's what pdfs they have under that.

I think that the update coming soon thing on the Verizon support page was to say that there was a software update for the coming release of the Z10, just my take on it based on my experiences with Verizon. There was supposed to be an update this week, here we are with a day left (or late) and a dollar short. If it wasn't for their coverage and amazing 4G LTE network (damn it's fast) I would jump ship.

Blackberry said they released the update over a month ago to fix all those issues. According to them all phones should have been shipped with the correct update, they said to call verizon for why not updating yet. AT&T friend confirmed it is fixed in the new update.

Today is the final straw that broke the camel's back. If there is no 10.0.10 update today from Verizon, i am taking all my business lines to AT&T tomorrow. Whats the point of having phones if i can't use it. Besides recently i have been getting very poor signal and super slow speeds on verizon LTE...

I'm sure the update will appear soon. Just for the record my phone doesn't reboot several times a day and the battery is getting better with use. Z10 is working very well.

Most of the battery life fixes that were released in 10.0.10.x releases were back-ported to Verizon's 10.0.9 release.

I have a VZW Z10 and I certainly don't get just 6 hours of life out of it. Many others have similiar experiences.

The freezing is still an issue, but there are lots of people running 10.0.10 that also have freezing issues.

What did your "AT&T friend" claim is fixed?

VZW is a superior carrier to AT&T in most respects, I wouldn't sign up with them if my life depended on it.

I sure hope those "business lines" of yours don't use SMTP email transmission for non-AT&T email addresses. If so, you'll be in a heap of hurt if you try to use that with the ATT Z10 right now. The Verizon devices don't seem to suffer from that nasty bug.

Re: the update in general:

Given that we are now hearing that the Q10 device is promised by "End of April" in the UK (link), I would be very surprised if Verizon does NOT wait for the 10.1 release (which is absolutely required for the Q10 to work properly) which should then be available by the end of April.

I seriously doubt Verizon wants to make 2 major software updates to the Z10 within 3 weeks time.

never mind.... turns out my GPS was on and draining the battery. WAZE was the problem.... Uninstalled it.
read about AT&T SMTP issue... didnt know about that, thanks for pointing that out OMNITECH..appreciate it... i guess grass always seems greener on the other side....

If one is to believe the rumor/leak quoted in the recent Crackberry article, it appears that 10.1 will be released only for the Q10 initially.

If that is indeed the case, then maybe we will get 10.0.10.x before 10.1.
