Which is the all around best 10.2 leak. I recently purchased a pebble, and talk2watch requires 10.2. Because of this i've decided to take the plunge and go for a leak. As a Verizon customer, I refuse to wait...

So CrackBerry nation, which is the best all around 10.2 experience for my z10 (STL100-4).

    Thanks,

I am a VZW customer and I am running 10.2.1.1055.
No problems except my outgoing MMS. (Don't wipe after you install if you want MMS to work)

It's great. And the thread above fixes mms on Verizon.
The only issue I've encountered is the never ending loading screen in email accounts....
And I just found that today.

I do use GPS on my phone. So I would want my GPS to work correctly. Any others running 1055 have some input?

Thanks for all the input guys!

I am running 10.2.1.1055 and have had no problems. I use Google maps on the phone and have no problem with it. Haven't tried any other apps or things that use gps. I installed the leak and did not restore or wipe after install. It has been great.

I guess the only other question is battery life. Much improved with 1055? I can't really complain about my current battery life. If it can be better i'll taken it for sure though.

I use 1055 and gps. No issues. Im with stl100-2 but still.

Just DO NOT RESTORE or WIPE after install. Restoring is one of main cause of all the issues!!!

    And mjsic - just perfect

Go for leak. You will not regret

    Very simple:
    Backup with link.
Download the right leak eith autoloader for your phone from leak thread (called "1055 leak + radios for all devices" or something)
    Disconnect device
Security wipe - this might take up to 15 min, so be patient
Launch autoloader (double click exe file)
    Connect phone
    Autoloader will do the job
    Reboot phone
    Set up device from new
    DO NOT RESTORE SETTINGS!!

That's it. Very simple and easy. 30 mins max (including wipe and load of leak)

There's article in crackberry about leak install with autoloader. Use search

Well...Took the day off today to be available to sign for my new laptop coming UPS. Woke up...and some stupid exception and now my laptop isnt going to be here. Now that I have all day to sit and do nothing...I'm downloading 1055 and I'm going to install it. I'll post back how it goes!

Although it says it's not going to do anything to my SD card...would it still be wise to pull it out before installing the leak?

    Thanks,

Yes. Most wise. Some have also pulled the sim card while updating, but doesn't apply to a Verizon customer like yourself. Good luck, 1055 is really nice once it's working, but can be a real pain to get working.

Sounds good. Doing a backup now...then I'll be installing.

What kind of issues might I expect? You mention it's really good, but can be a pain to get working? I downloaded to autoload leak with radio. Hopefully that's the right one.

    It's really not a pain.
Just be careful with the restore.
I did restore, no issues other than the email accounts won't load.
Not too bad as long as I don't need to reset my imap password!

On Verizon myself, my Z10 requires a SIM for cellular connection. No SIM, no service. Z10STL100-4/10.2.1.1055

E-mail is very important to me. I'm thinking maybe I just won't restore? Seems like others have not restored, and things have been fine?

    That's what I've been hearing.
Emails are important to me too, I didn't know about the problem when I loaded the leak.
So far it hasn't been an issue though so fingers crossed.
It's only a problem adding new accounts and editing old ones.

Interesting, I didn't realize that Verizon had moved that way with their 4g phones. I haven't followed verizon since they cheated me out of $300 7 years ago and I cancelled my contract. Guess i'm just used to cdma meaning no sim. I stand corrected.

Yeah, that's the right one. There's a difference between "software release" and "os version" for the same installer, kinda confusing i know.
