Long story short, I got tired of my iPhone 5s, sold it, got the 9900, only to realize that the small screen does not suit my needs (but I do love the SEND / END buttons for calls). Just purchased a Z10 on eBay (store demo unit, arriving next Wed), looked up Blend and apparently it's not compatible with Blend "just yet". I don't really want to wait for another 5 months to use Blend. It's really the only reason I purchased this Z10 since almost all the apps I need are non-existent for BB 10 and mobile-friendly web sites are typically not as intuitive and user/screen-friendly as the apps. I'm also security conscious, so I only use apps I know that are safe (bank, brokerage, Microsoft, etc). SNAP is not an option, unless it's been vetted through security consortiums, experts, etc.

I understand there's no such thing as an "that phone has everything I want". There will be compromises, but I feel like Blackberry is making it hard for their loyalists to adopt its technology.

I'm thinking about listing that Z10 for sale, but I want to at least try it first, even if Blend is not readily available.

Are you happy with your Z10?
Anyone here switched to other platform (flagship phones such as iPhone or top-end Android) and switched back to Blackberry OS?

Blend is available after software update to 10.3.1.x, but is a very basic software. Z10 is a slow device by current standards, no worth buying one now. BB10 is virtually dead without Android ecosystem. Forget about improved security, BlackBerry outside BES is as secure as the services you use. Z10 is OK device for basic communications, if the price is under $120.

I am happy with my Z10. Just switched back to it from the Q10. I think you need to ask yourself if the phone does most of what you need it to well. For me the Z10 does. I'm not a heavy app user but the platform has all the apps I do use. I love to surf online on my phone and the BB10 browser is nice and snappy. So I am happy. The 10.3.1 update has given the phone a nice UI refresh and my phone is still nice and snappy so I can't comment on issues of slowness or anything like that. And Blend is available for all BB10 phones with the new update.

Just go over what you use your phone for most. If the Z10 can do most of it that's great. If not there are a lot of other options out there to try out.

    Good luck

I'm just hoping that at least the Z10 supports specific AT&T LTE bands in my area. I had the Z30 and it didn't support those specific AT&T LTE bands, so I returned it. I think the Z10 was originally available through AT&T, so I hope it can pick up LTE signal at my work at home.

As long as you purchased the right model, you'll be good.

My overall experience after OTA install of 10.3.1.1565 on Z10 stl100-1 is enjoying all the new features looks like a new phone but the best is the battery life is truly awesome. Before was charging at mid day or doing a battery swap. Getting over 15 hours on one charge and using the phone all day with 4 busy email accounts ! Never before had this performance.

This phone is great and more considering launched 2013. Attached screenshot although in Spanish its the same fields. Are you truly happy with your Z10?-imageuploadedbycb-forums1426315720.126924.jpg so yes very happy with myZ10

I've got mine for two years now and still very happy with it! Especially now it runs on the latest official 10.3.1!
I am eligible by my provider to get a new phone in a few weeks, but I'm not sure if I already want a new one....

Yes, for a 2 year old phone it does everything I need smoothly and better with every stable update. I got 12 hours battery with 22% remaining and display being the highest usage at 30% the same day of installing a leak so it gets me through the day.

I have not had a flagship competing device but forcefully came from a Passport. Running the same os as the pp on the Z10 has me impressed with the Z10 again . Feels like a new phone!

Been over 2 years with my Z10. Hasn't failed me yet. Why is Snap not an option? The android apps are from Google play. Snap isn't an actual store it's a bridge to Google play.

I've been changing phones like crazy within a 3 month period. I've tried'em all. My personal opinion is z30 was the best. The only problem was it was just to big of a device. However, the z10 seems to work flawless for me. My only gripe would be the battery life. I just keep a spare USB cable or wall charger with me. It's all personal preference and to make matters more complicated I'm itching for a passport.

Can also use a spare battery. I recommend the battery combo. Comes with a battery and casing to charge it. BlackBerry premium charger charges the Z10 from 0 to100 in about an hour.
