Right now we are just speculating on how things will work with bb10 and maybe there will be options for utilising the sd card with larger apps such as games storing their in-game media on the sd card and then the main part of the app on the flash memory as then you would avoid the need to do anything special with the sd card in order to avoid piracy since the full app would not be on there.

If your already spending, say, $500 for a 16GB and the 64GB is $100 more...what's $100 more for 64GB gonna hurt in context that your already spending $500.

Some might be stretching their budget just to come up with that $500.

Well for less than a hundred you could add that 48gigs + 16Gigs of storage via MicroSD card. I guess it all depends on what you're uses will be. Me personally I would love to get my full music library on the device and use it as my main media player. So I will need between the two memory slots around 80+gigs.

Still holding out for them to announce sprint is even getting the Z10. If they do I wouldn't be surprised to only see a 16gb version. But I'd be ok with this as I already use sd cards for my 9930. I'll just do the same with the Z10. Even if they had a 64gb version I'd never fit all my music and such on the onboard storage. SD cards for the win.

I've seen the article where they talk about a 16GB and 32GB. Can somebody confirm a 64GB version of the L series?

I've got about 100 apps on my 9900, and it only has what, 512mb's of app memory? I think I'll be fine with 16GB's.. other then apps and emails, I'll be taking some pictures with my BB10 phone, maybe keep a little music on it but I mostly stream music, and movies are kept on my 32GB playbook..

I will problably be getting the 32GB. I already have a PlayBook 32GB and is good enough. I'm also hoping that Z10 supports a 64GB mini sd card.

Piracy is not so much of a problem, there are ways to handle that, but removable storage with hot swap is a disaster looking for somewhere to happen. Most SDs only offer a fraction of the speed available from on-board memory so their real value is rather limited when it comes to large single file dumps or realtime (swapping) operations.

Logically your media file sizes won't change, storage will still use the same standard formats like jpg, or whatever for movies and audio. However the larger available storage will be a temptation to store more of them

32GB is the required amount of internal storage for me. I have the 64GB microSD card now, but I need the space, I don't want to have to manage memory. Every time a new OS comes along and RIM has upgraded the storage on the device the apps grow in size and so does your desire to do more with the device. That said 9GB of actual useable space is insufficient, for me at least.
