Sometimes when i get an email from someone that isn't in my address book but has the same first name it incorrectly displays in the from field the name of the person in my address book.

For example. I have Dan smith in my contact lists. I do not have Dan Holton. Yet when Dan Holton sends me an email it appears as though it's from Dan smith. Complete with his Facebook picture and everything.

What's the explanation for this and how can I fix it. Has anybody else had a similar problem?

Contacts are all linked together. You have to unlink them in some way. I dont know how the others did but for me, I manually erased, made and linked the appropriate contacts all over again.

There is nothing to unlink. The email is from [email protected] but the name showing up is from [email protected]. If I hit reply it goes back to dan.smith. There is no linked contact with [email protected] anywhere on my blackberry.

It's really weird.
