Month and a bit since the Z10 came out. I imagine many of you are like me - long time, dedicated QWERTY users who got impatient and opted for Z10 instead (I haven't got one yet, can't decide if I want Z or Q)

After owning the Z10, would you trade it straight up for a Q10? Or has it grown on you (why/why not)?

Basically just wondering if a diehard keyboard phone user could ever be won over by a touchscreen device...

I thought I would never go full touch, but I did and I don't see myself going for the Q10. I'm loving the Z10. Best virtual keyboard and the screen real estate is hard to give up for a smaller screen.

In short no, I wouldn't. I miss hitting physical buttons, but the z10 is beautiful inside and out. The typing experience is pretty awesome on it, best by far on a touchscreen.
That said, I came from a 9800, so if BB release a slider, I will get that, they tend to be thicker, but I like having the best of both worlds!

The z10 is without a doubt the best touchscreen device I have ever come across but it is still (for me) not the same as a real keyboard - maybe it's the final bash of the send button on a long email that I'm missing
But I really value the extra screen size of the z10. In particular in landscape mode I can read most items without pinching and zooming
On balance the z10 just edges it for me and I'll be keeping it instead of trading for a Q10. But maybe I'll look for a Bluetooth keyboard for those long troublesome emails

Can't believe I,m saying this but no ,I,m very happy and the z10 is only going to improve but we'll chuffed that bb have two cracking fones out ,also when they update the playbook there's gonna be a lot of very happy peeps out there

Z10 for sure. Its hard to swipe up with q10. So much better fell with z10.

Hmnn...mm just tried putting the accent over the e in Jose and CB10 doesn't show it at all. Had to put in a normal e instead. Me thinks an oversight by the app. : (

exactly same situation on me. the 9900 screen now feels too small, and ive seen the q10's slightly bigger screen, but still as an all-rounder, z10 is better for me. if you do is work and emails 24/7 the q10 maybe better but i feel the entertainment with the z10 bigger screen now provides a better balance for me.

There is no way. Most apps will be tailored for the Z10's screen size. Plus, video playback, browsing, etc. are so much better on the Z10. Even if both were out at the same time, I would've got the Z10.

Coming from 2 'real keyboard' Blackberrys, I won't be going back. I'm still getting used to the virtual keyboard (especially with swiping up suggested words) but the screen size makes life so much easier for browsing etc.

I thought I was a keyboard dinosaur but after using the z10 for a week, there's no turning back. What I'm really missing is not the keyboard but the mouse to edit my emails. I find the touchscreen bubble approach a bit difficult to insert a letter or to add a word at the middle of a sentence.

I saw and used the Q at the nyc party and it is beaUtiful! It's a bit smaller than the Z which is just about perfect. However, these paws are too clumsy for the keys and I was typing SO much faster on the Z in a very short period of time. Also the screen real estate while much more than its predecessors, is not for me. Maybe if I was married to keys and had younger eyes, but I still doubt I'd give up the screen of the Z.
