I've kinda wanted snapchat for a while now and I know there is a way to download it to your Z10 but is it worth it? Because I don't think its the latest version and I really don't want it if its going to be like a really old version.

The only thing I got working on this Q10 I have is something like version 4.something. Super out-of-date, but it works for the basics.

I used Snap to download the Android version and it won't run on my z10. I had been using a couple different knockoffs from BB World, but in both cases, Snapchat detected them as unofficial apps and suspended my account each time. I just gave up on the app altogether since most of my friends quit using Snapchat and have migrated over to Vine and Instagram. BlackBerry World has some good alternatives. Personally, I am using Whine (Vine) and Inst10 (Instagram).

Majority of third-party Snapchat apps have been blacklisted by Snapchat, and the latest version of Snapchat requires Google Play Services, and I'm not sure if there's a workaround to it.

http://casper.io/ is the only remaining third-party app I have found that works for BlackBerry 10 properly, though lacking the ability to take videos on the spot, and chat.

I've been using Snap chat since I bought my Z10 in March. I don't get notifications because I won't install Google Play. But I just tell my kids to send a text with the snap and I will open it and look.
