[MK_Indy_R1]

Hi everyone,

My original Z10's speaker and mic started dying on me, so I got a replacement phone from my provider (Vodafone UK).
Prior to giving the old one in to be checked, I created a backup.

When I try to restore the new Z10 with the old Z10's data, I receive this message:

'This backup file is not compatible with the version of the device software that you're currently running. Update your device software and try again.'

ArghhsnbgK SGj !! WHY?? I had 10.2.1.something on my phone before, how can it not transfer the data across? Or at least some of it??? Grrr. Not good enough. And I check for software updates regularly, I'm sure I did it recently.
My new Z10 OS is:

10.2.1.2102

Will I have to roll back to an older OS, then restore? (I don't know how to roll back the OS). I don't know what the older OS was exactly, is there a way to tell by somehow opening the restore file I want to use?

I love my Blackberry, but this really isn't good enough. I want to have been using my new Z10 by now, not writing this at 1am!

Could anyone please help me with this problem? I'd be very grateful.

I feel for you. I suspect your older phone had a later version of BlackBerry 10.

Use "Backup Pro" next time and save yourself the headache of using BlackBerry Link. You can always email me and I will usually respond in minutes to help out with your backup or restore (unless I'm asleep).

Im having the same problem as MK_Indy_R1.
Backed up version was 10.2.1.3175 and my new phone is 10.2.1.2141. Is there anything I can do or do I just update the new phone.
What is the best OS version to use for Z10, STL100-1?
