I am running the same version.

Still works fine when my Z10 is connected wirelessly. Still doesn't like when it's attached via a cord tho

    Hey all,

Occasionally when I have my zed10 connected to my laptop I receive a 'watchdog violation' or something to that effect. The result is that my laptop does an automatic reboot.
I will try attach a picture for your reference.

Does anybody have an idea what this actually means and how I can remedy it?

Turn the w8 equivalent of user account control OFF

Make sure you are in an account that has admin privileges, or IS an administrator account.

May not matter, but if the . net framework 3.5 is not installed, install it. W8 ships with . net 4.5 if I am not mistaken. 3.5 and 4.5 can coexist well together.

Try these things. I have had folks kill a Lot of weirdness by doing these things, from the w8 side, anyway.

    Just suggestions.

Windows 8 is just like BB10. Has kinks, will get worked out. Try wireless, nobody seems to have an issue with that for now.

I have the same issue, could this be because we are side loading? Happens every time I do that. Windows 8 64 bit starter

It is because your phone is mad you are spelling its name wrong. No matter how you say it, it is still spelled z10.

I'm running a 64 bit Win 8 desktop and a Z10. I got that error message every time I disconnected my phone. Since updating to the newest version of Link it hasn't happened.

I get that same error every time I want to side load any apps. Even if I use the PlayBook app manager chrome browser extension.

Running a 64bit version of Win8 using a Z10 with the stock OS. I've been able to connect to other Win8 PC's, just not my main one which is a HP Pavilion g7. Hope we can get some answers eventually.

i have the same problem, it because your SD card's bad sector/corrupt file

i try to take off my SD card from my phone, and everything is going fine, BBlink etc
I have 2 Blacberry Q10 too, using OS 10.2 both.. each phone use different SD card, Cheap one (Local made) and Expensive one (SanDisk)
and nothing goes wrong with my q10 which use Sandisk

if you want to add some music pics or video, maybe you should use external card reader..

Well, I have this problem running Windows 8 (since May) but never have it on Windows 7 (I have to revert back to Win 7 from time to time because BB Link under Win 8 doesn't give me access to my iTunes library). And I have a SanDisk 64GB SD card so it will be interesting if it is the SD card (I'll try another SanDisk card to see if it still crashes)... but then if that is the case, Win 8 must have maybe lower tolerances or something coded in if it causes a crash but not under Win 7.

I've had this problem for a while now. I blame it on driver incompatibilities with Windows 8 64bit.
