    Hi all,
Before I transfer some of my "special" flac music files to my m-SD card- will the Z10 (10.1) read flac files and play them ok?

    Thanks!

I use Neutron MP on my Z10, plays all formats and really produces a richer sound.

I find Neutron extremely unintuitive. It's a pain to use. For that reason alone I prefer the stock player. I think the stock player sounds just fine. No excessive EQ settings that can destroy the sound. I think it sounds like it should.

Yes, the Z10 will play .flac files but only 16bit as 24bit support isn't in BB10. Yet.
If you want to play 24bit .flac, get Neutron although it'll 'downgrade' them to 16bit in order to play them.

Neutron takes some work to set up but if you're stuck, email the Dev or look on the forums.

Wow, really! Been using Neutron on my pb for ages and put it on my z10 as soon as I could, the depth in sound is very noticeable; as for distortion, unless you're trying to use it by putting everything to the max then it won't distort and there is a setting to stop it too!
