Thinking about picking up another z for my T-Mobile account and the best deals sent to be on unlocked models via eBay. I require WiFi calling and I'm wonder if an unbranded / Verizon unlocked model using my T-Mobile sim will have access to this feature.

I've heard of factory unlocked Z10s and even unlocked AT&T Z10s getting WiFi calling when a TMO SIM was put in, but why do you want to get a Verizon Z10? It'll come unlocked, yes, but that thing won't get you better than 2G on TMO.

Thanks Raino. Just used that as a reference sorry for not being clear. The T-Mobile and Att versions are almost identical I believe. Model stl100-3 so theoretically any 100-3 should be compatible with T-Mobile USA bands including LTE. That is what I will look for. I currently am using a nexus 5 which is an amazing phone but it has several calling bugs (not ringing going straight to VM) and the radio in it is crap. Where I would pull down a strong signal with my Z I can barely hold a call at times.

Ahh ok. Yeah, if you get either STL100-3, you're good to go for WiFi calling.

I picked up a unlocked one from blackberry and use it in T-Mobile and wifi calling was active but since last update has been disabled.

T-Mo has NOT pushed an official 10.2 OS yet. Some are getting a 10.2 pushed to them as they have unbranded phones. Again, that OS is not from t-mo and it will kill wifi-calling.

Do we have any info on when 10.2.1 might be released for T-mobile? I just switched to blackberry z10 from WP and I love it so far, I would run a leak, but I really have to have wi-fi calling. I really hope tmo doesn't leave us high and dry.
