I have ordered a STL100- 2 from eBay and I'm bit curious whether it would work fine without any issues on Vodafone carrier. Secondly, I request my fellow pals to guide me on how to update to newer version of OS as I read in other forums that os update through OTA is carrier and model dependent.

Thanks and appreciate any feedback and help!!

There are many STL2 in STL1 dominant countries like Indonesia. I don't see a problem. OS wise, use sachesi or autoloader

It has all the required network bands. So there should not be any issue with network.

However Redington India ( BB importer and service center) Will not support this model.

B4 u buy conform the warranty, whether its from BB side or seller side. I dont think this will cover BB warranty.

Even with future 4G coming to india, its on Band 40( 2300 Mhz) This band is not available in any model of Z10. So its better to purchase from other retailers like Flipkar or Amazon or any local vender, which is available at 17K
( Even used devices under warranty are available at 13 to 14K)

Oops!!! There's only 3 months warranty from seller on both hardware and software. Points noted.

Are you sure the 4g band on z10 wouldn't work when the services are launched in india?

Reliance Jio and Airtel, Aircel are with 2300.

    Z 10, STL 100-2 has below bands

    Quad band GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
    Tri band HSPA+ 1, 5/6, 8 (2100/850/900 MHz)
    Quad band LTE 3, 7, 8, 20 (1800/2600/900/800 MHz)

Some service providers may come up with 1800 4G, but not confirmed yet.

So only devices with 2300 band will work.

Make sure your phone has the correct APN setting for your carrier.
