If you want 2339, you need to load that OS. you must have chosen the wrong one. Was it carrier pushed? My carrier sent me the lower one as well.

10.3.2.556 is the Software Release number (carriers refer to that). The actual OS number is 10.3.2.858. When you go into "Settings" > "About", drop that "Category" list down and select "OS" to see the proper number.

And, yes, the carrier (AT&T in this case, I assume) would only send you their "official" OS - whether it's the newest one or not. And 858 is not the newest. It works... it's just not the newest.

You don't have to stick to just what the carrier wants you to have. I have almost never had an AT&T official OS in my Z10. Only twice - the first was the first two weeks I had the phone, just to get used to the new (to me) OS after coming from a 9800 with BBOS 6; and the second was for about a month late last summer when AT&T actually had the latest 10.2.1 OS - then a good leak of 10.3.1 came out... and I jumped on it.

You could use Blackberry Virtual Expert and it'll show you the OS version. My 10.3.2.2339 shows up as 10.3.2.2226 on the About/Software release but shows up as the 2339 in BBVE.
