[CrackBerry Question]

On my Z10 the USB output works only for charging the battery.
Cannot do any backup of my phone or download photos from it??
What can I do? I will change phone this spring for a Priv how can I do a backup of actual Z10?

if you want to save photos from the device memory, upload them to a cloud service: box, dropbox, google drive, mega, etc

a backup of the phone won't work on the priv anyway. as long as you can plug it into the laptop and it can sense the old phone to switch devices, you can save your address book. otherwise you will start over.

Make sure you're using the cable that came with the phone.

Also, I can transfer stuff from my Z10 wirelessly. Make sure your Z10 is on wireless, launch BBLink on your desktop and your phone should appear under Devices and Drives under This PC. I can open my folders this way.

Go in to System settings
Storage and Access
Access using USB
Make sure phone is not set to Charge Only.

Also in system setting make sure DEVICE Connections is enabled.

Just curious...does BlackBerry Link recognize your device when connected?
