I noticed this now. When I start playing games my temperature shoots very quickly within 5 minutes from 32-34C to 38-40C. Is this a quick rise or normal?
Certain games and other apps (I've seen skype mentioned) can definitely raise the temperature - normal.

skype definitely does it. im just keeping my fingers crossed 10.3's android runtime optimisations might make things better as skype is a "must have" app for me.

    I have a Z10 as well. Mine is a STL-100-3

Mine gets quite warm as well, both with Skype or any andriod app using video

I'm actually slowly working on measuring a copper shim to aid in heat dissipation.

All. When using certain apps, including the browser.

Not true. I have a T-Mobile Z10, and it is not having this issue.

Use the browser for 10 minutes then post a screenshot showing the battery temperature.

Right now, when using only CB10 app it's cool on 33C.

    Edit: Now 34C

I have a STL-100-3 and mine gets pretty warm if i play games or run some Android apps. It will also go very warm if I'm using the browser my battery starts to drop really fast, faster than playing a game. Does anybody know why? The Z10 browser can deplete my battery in no time. I lose 1% every minute and the temp keeps rising and rising while browsing.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

My phone gets extremely hot just by watching a YouTube video.

Heck if I use an app that's wifi/data intensive I know my phone will heat up.

Spend too much time on the browser, maps, videos, games, anything, and I get worried my phone will blow up in my hands lol

Mine gets hot sometimes and I have no idea why. I check device monitor and nothing is out of the ordinary. I've learned to ignore it.

My z10 is stl-1 and get overheat too if i use it for browsing, gaming and while charging. The heat is from the battery. So i put the phone on the ceramic floor to decrease the temperature and i can continue using my awesome z10 without overheating more. )
