This can happen at any moment, even when the battery level is way above 50%. The only way to turn it back on is to connect it to the charger, but even then it takes many minutes to return to normal.

Did you do the update that rolled out, and was subsequently pulled back? Sounds like a familiar issue......

Happens to me too. Don't know why but it's annoying.

    Could be a defective battery.
    Try a replacement battery.

This happened to me a few hours ago. Phone wouldn't turn back on,in the end I had to connect it to a charger. No idea why as the battery had over 70% charge left.

What model phone? The stl-1 model has been known to have battery calibration issues.

I thought my phone was doing this and eventually traced it down to the power button accidentally getting held while in my pocket. Even while in standby and locked, holding power will turn the phone off.

    It's a known issue on 10.3.1

Of sure a fix is not far away

Huh really? Why hasn't my Z10STL100-3/10.3.1.2267 randomly rebooted? Odds are,the battery is sliding off the contacts.

Mine used to do random reboots. If I'd tap the phone on my hand or would put pressure on the phone as if trying to bend the phone, the Z10 would reboot itself. It would reboot in my pocket as well probably from the movement. A piece of coloured small note paper, folded twice, placed UNDER, not over, the battery, fixed the issue. Tried over the battery first but it didn't work. It's been a month since I've placed the bit of paper under the battery and have not had a random reboot again.

I've seen other reporting the same on 10.3.1 and I believe bla1ze had mentioned in one of his posts. (random reboots)

I've seen people report reboots since 10.0 99% of the time it's not the software but the battery sliding off the contacts. The poster Geotos right above you explains it.
