40 This also happened to me when I go the OS update 10.3.1.1779. Like jaydee5799 said take the battery out. But also take out the SIM and media card if installed. Replace the battery and restart. If it works now make sure any updates are complete and turn off and place the SIM and memory cards back. Best of luck.

42,173 Is it possible that the battery does not fit tight and so it loses contact and reboots? You can slide some paper along the bottom away from the contact area to shim/tighten it.
192 I had something like this happen when the headphones were plugged in when it restarted. Pulled them out and it started back up fine. Maybe a coincidence but shocked me that it worked
