Just wondering since I saw the article on cb and wondered why you like it.

Reasons members of crackberry like theirs:
* Nice feeling leather
* Not loose, protected and still, you can't even tell it's there
* You can easily remove it and use it as a case
* Easy to access
* Safe from objects in your pockets or bags/purses
* Good size
* Cool design
* Easy to access
* Turns off when in the holster, turns on when taken out (aka magnet)

I really want to try a holster. I've ALWAYS used a holster (8700, 9700 and 9900). But, for some reason why my Z10, I wish it could have a gel protection on it, and STILL fit in the holster...

It's very old school. I prefer just inside pocket of my jacket but that's just me.

I keep too many things in my pocket so I prefer having it on my hip as opposed to digging through my pockets if I get a call or notification. Easier access changing music and I prefer running the z10 naked with a clearplex screen protector when not on the go.

I have the Seidio case and holster combo. I used my Z10 for almost a month without a case or holster and I was really afraid I was going to mess the phone up. I did not like putting it in my pocket for fear of scratching it up, or even a fear of breaking it in my back pocket when I sat down. With the holster, it unlocks the phone when you take it out of the holster. I also feel like I have faster access to it with the holster.

I love the holster. Just wish I could take the clip off. I'm sure after dragging it in and out of my purse, I'll knock it off at some point

I like holsters. I don't know why some people find them ugly or out of fashion or whatever. Keeping your phone in your pocket really isn't ideal many times.

Bbz10 is just to big to go on the hip... it was cool for smaller previous bb's like my storm2... i laugh when I see people lugging huge walkie talkie size Samsung on their hips

Magnet...that is all. One of the biggest pluses for me on BlackBerry is having that magnet to turn it off. So I know 100% of the time when it's in my holster it's not doing anything it's not supposed to. No other smartphone had this.

Have had a holster for all my BlackBerry phones. Always liked the way they shut the phone off when in the holster and turned it on when taking it out.

I know we're talking about the Z10, but I thought I read somewhere that the Q10 in an OEM soft shell case would still fit in the leather OEM BlackBerry holster. So maybe something similar would work for the Z too.

Another +1 for the Seido holster and case. I've used Otterbox and Incipio, and the Seido shines above: on/off dynamic, easy retrieval, good quality. Plus, though I initially thought it gimmicky, I'm quite digging the kickstand feature with the case.
