Upgraded z10 to the new OS and love it. I have a number of different contacts that use different ring tones. I like to leave my phone on vibrate but when a call comes in it uses the default volume setting instead of the active profile. Once I lower the volume on the default then all the profiles have lower volume.

I'm having a hard time understanding what your asking. You have the option of your custom notifications being on, off, or matching your profile settings. And adjustments can be made to override profile volumes also as needed for all phone calls, text messages, apps, etc.
