3rd Blackberry, had lots of things before that. Interested in technology of all kinds (the "omni" thing), I've been an I.T. consultant for over 20 years, systems administrator, network and security specialist etc.

I have experience with and have owned products using desktop OS's including MS-DOS, PC-DOS, DR-DOS, Commodore 64, Windows from version 3.0, GEM, AmigaOS, TOS (Atari ST), Linux starting with probably the Yggdrasil distro and version .98 or .99 of Linux kernel, FreeBSD, Apple MacOS, Apple OS-X, Novell Netware, SunOS, Sun Solaris.. you get the picture.

My first PDA was a PalmPilot 5000 from 1996 (first generation), I bought it largely because it was the first device to offer a straightforward "syncing" option to backup your data, and had a very efficient UI. My first cellphone was a Motorola MicroTac Elite from about 1994.

Been using blackberry since the 6280 (don't remember the year 2004?) and loved not being tied to my computer or landline while waiting for clients to respond, it has even replaced my laptop! Can work anywhere, at anytime … Office, home, or beach! Clients would never know the difference. (Forever indebted to Blackberry for their reliability = my freedom).
