Never had the battery percent visible on a phone that I can recall and couldn’t care less if they added it. I can easily interpret the icon to give me all the info I need. I guess partly, it just seems like a feature that will have me obsessing over battery percentages when I really don’t need the extra stress… lol… I figure some of you do that anyways.

As for the date thing, it bothered me at first, I was like WTH it’s hidden, but quite frankly after two months it hasn’t been an issue once. Typically, when I need the date I pull the phone out of my pocket and well it is locked so I just look at the lock screen. Alternatively, it hasn’t bothered me to pull down on the top a little or just open the calendar.

I not care as I use battery watch or guru or just look under settings.

Be nice to have an option to see it in the top, but again I not care really.

I'd be quite happy for BlackBerry to go back to the battery icon that was used in OS5 - where it was split into five sub-sections (each representing 20% charge). If my memory serves me correctly each sub-section could be halved to represent a further 10% reduction in charge. I remember being quite perplexed when they removed it in OS6.

I think going back to that style would pay homage to the legacy OS as well as being something different (but still useful). This would be my preference as opposed to simply copying the percentage icon from iOS and Android.

Here's a screenshot of what I was talking about for all those that either don't know or have forgotten. It shows a battery charge of 70%.

So you're saying you do care?

    (it's actually couldn't care less)

Sorry, reditt has gotten me into the habit of spotting this common mistake.
It's a huge pet peeve of mine and it's a damned epidemic. I hear it in songs, I hear newscasters say it, people in interviews, and it makes me want to scream/punch them in the throat

So clearly people from BlackBerry do check out this forum and take suggestions maybe if everyone reply and makes this a hot topic to get their attention it must not be hard to build this feature in. So please help out

Not sure if someone already mentioned this but you do know that if you go to Settings>About>Hardware that is built in and shows your battery percentage

That's only for 5% intervals. And that's not so practical.

I personally wouldn't want the percentage next to the battery in that bar, I prefer it not to look too cluttered up there, I think it's personal preference.
I wouldn't mind if maybe when u tapped the battery it would show percent, but I don't really need it

I'm more interested in my battery lasting longer. If I can use it for at least 6hrs, I will be great full. The battery life of my z10 is unimpressive even after the update. Every other thing is impressive. Cut and paste seems no to be working. Maybe my fault anyway. Still learning. Much easier with my torch 3.
