the bb is not able to keep up with the transfer. I have the same thing happen when I try to transfer files to my Z30. Its gotta be the OS that makes the BB not able to accept the transfer quickly. I have resorted to transferring the file to a USB and plugging it into my Z30 and copying files over that way

Z10 doesn't have UTG. Can't read USB flash drive. Your best bet is to insert the SD card into the laptop and copy the files directly on to the SD.

This thing happens only when you acces file manager on the phone while the transfer is happening. Yes it stucks on the last point but the file is actually transfered.

This is a common issue that helps to make bb10 clearly not the best consumer os. This needs fixing asap

    Hi folks,

Had the same problem, but there is a quick way to fix it.

Go to Settings > Storage and Access > Access using USB....
Check the "USB Mass Storage Mode"
(This will allow you to access your media card (when available) as if your device is a USB drive.

Now plug in your BlackBerry and it will mount as a drive (F:, G:, H: or whatever) and NOT a "Network Drive" (which is usually X:, Y:, Z. This allows you to transfer files much faster and easier, no hangs.... But it only works if you have an SD Card in your device.

If you don't have an SD card, buy one and add memory to your device. Definitely worth the few bucks, and then you won't have any problem transferring stuff over. If you need it on your "main" device storage you can then always move it using File Manager in the phone itself.
