Hello everyone,

I just walked in to a Future Shop to preorder the Z10 but the lady told me I had to do it as a hardware upgrade and not as an outright purchase. Any ideas where I can pre order one of these bad boys without doing it as a hardware upgrade?

When the 9900 was released, I called my carrier and told them that there was no way I could get to a store to purchase it as I work in in remote locations. They shipped me the device to my door and charged my cellular account. Took 4 days and all I had to do was pick up the phone.

I am on Bell (Canada). Also I made the call on release day as alot of retail companies can't sell/invoice a product they don't sell/stock yet. So I didn't actually pre-order.

I would assume that you can get it from a Bell store. On all their devices, they list contract price and outright price. I think it just might be 3rd party retailers, like Future Shop, BestBuy, Walmart, etc.... that you cannot simply buy new launch devices outright. I was told by a BestBuy rep that for the first couple of months for any new device, they only offer contract deals.

All the actual carrier stores will be allowing you to buy outright!! Futureshop, Best Buy, Walmart, The Source and the list goes on, don't allow for retail purchases
