I just called 6 different Verizon stores in the NYC area trying to acquire one and none have the Z10 in stock, what gives? Shouldn't they have a slew of unsold units in stock?

Yeah I was pretty pissed that the CDMA version wasn't included but I prefer VZ's coverage. I'm perplexed at the unavailability though.

+1 but on T-Mobile . Been using mine all day. I unplugged it at 9:30 am used it quite a bit. Half day on wifi and half off. Currently the battery is at 48%

Been on mine all day browsing, bbm'ing, WhatsApp'ing, emailing, etc. Used 4 MB's of data and my battery is down to 19%...running it down yesterday and today to cycle it with a full charge. I'm pleased with the battery life considering I've been hammering it all day.

-16 today and was -27 yesterday but back to -6 tomorrow. I promise we aren't hoarding the extra z10s here in Northern BC. But, we could overclock them and they'd stay nice and cool if we wanted to.

I went to a local Verizon store out of about 8-10 in my town, when I asked to see one, they checked behind the desk in a drawer. They aren't even kept out on display, she said we don't have any, we keep one behind the desk and only sell 2-3 a year.

Buy it online and it's free on a 2 year plan or edge it for $12.72 a month and after the first year you can hand it in for what will probably be a similarly priced Z30 by then. For free or $152/yr it's a loaner unless you destroy or lose it with a pretty decent upgrade path. If the AT&T voice wasn't so compressed in NYC i would consider going to the gsm carriers but VZW still has the best voice in the NYC submarket.
