For some reason the names of my contacts gets changed to their phone number and then later on it just ends up blank. No name, no number. If I reinstall it, the names stay for a while but there are still some than it doesn't recognize, not can I edit the contacts. Anyone having this issue or know a solution? Just frustrating to deal with.

This happens when you restart your phone. It's a known issue that Whatsapp is aware of. To fix it, refresh your contacts list, then refresh your favourites. It'll take a few minutes, but the contact names should re-appear afterwards.

Please search the forums. There are so many many threads on this topic. The issue can be fixed by opening whatsapp swipe right click contacts, click on the three dots and click refresh. Then click on fav tab and refresh and wait for few seconds. You will have your contacts back. This is a temporary problem, I hope will be fixed in the next update. Cheers!

Try to download from from your desktop if u still face that problem than go to my world from your desktop there you will see whatsapp, from there click install.
This trick worked for me lets hope it works for u too

Perhaps you are trying to load a previously downloaded version for an os7 or earlier device from in your app world?

Whatsapp will not work on OS 10.32 and below. Your friend is right, the latest version out is 10.90. You may try to use a different network SIM card and try to update. Please search the the forums there are plenty of threads to manually update the OS. Good luck.
