I just bought Neatly and love how it looks and works in every way. Now that Blaq is out does it look as amazing as Neatly does? Can someone share their thoughts and screen shots of how Blaq looks and how it performs stacked up to Neatly?
Which twitter application is worth our money Blaq or Neatly? If you had to recommend one to use, which one would that be?
I liked Neatly but found after a week or so of use it would slow down significantly. I am trying Blaq now and although I never got on with it on the playbook it seems sweet on the z10
I haven't used either, nor have I gotten my z10 yet, but, my loyalty always goes to Hootsuite for twitter apps, being on my current phone, my computer, or my iPad. Can't wait to use it on bb
The blaq interface is much improved over the PB. I had a hard time on my PB figuring stuff out and the help pages was non existent. The 10 version looks to be much improved.
I will likely have to edit this after a few days of use.
Blaq
- could not add 2nd account upon initial use. Closed app and reopened and it worked well. May have been my patience as I waited less than 1 minute while the screen was blank.
- I can't always remember what the icons and colours mean, finally there is a help screen.
Neatly
- I had a difficult time adding a 2nd account. Seems like the text boxes would not accept a touch except at the LHS.
- when switching accounts keeps going back to the view selection screen. Annoying, please remember my previous selection.
- I like the new tweet counter.
While I don't have Blaq myself, I can assure you that neatly runs pretty well. Much better than the official twitter, didn't notice any lags as others have stated. It's much improved after the latest update.
I've been using Neatly since I got the Z10 on AT&T launch day and have been happy, the only down side to it is that it's slow to refresh. Downloaded Blaq today and have been very impressed on how fast it is. It has taken a little getting used to, but so far I think that Blaq will be my Twitter client of choice
Haven't used Neatly. Blaq on B10 is a completely different experience than PB. Entirely redesigned and perfectly in line with BB10. Soooo fast and sooooo smooth. It looks fan. tas. tic. Clever features that really enhance the experience. A few minor tweaks that others have mentioned will truly perfect it, but I would use it as-is with no complaint. You can feel the developer's love for the platform.
Jerome, you knocked it out of the park with this. I will be stunned if BB doesn't fly you out to Waterloo this week to beg you to work for them.
It's about the speed in addition to the features. I have had to sit in hospital waiting rooms the past few days and just slide through all my Twitter feeds. And the design of the timeline is ingenious.(And it beats reading six month old magazines.)
