    I Googled it and but keep seeing contradicting information.

    Is the center bezel plastic or stainless steel what is it?

    To answer my own question its made out of Powder coated aluminum uni body construction. With a baked on paint that looks and feels like plastic. This makes it lightweight and durable.

    In a tear down video you can see the uni body frame which is aluminum looking. Definitely not plastic.

    Not definitive, but ifixit reported that the frame was plastic after their teardown.

    "Several screws secure the plastic midframe to the outer plastic frame."
