I have the otter. I'm rough on phones and its done it's job... perfectly. is there a smaller case just as good. And if so, does it come with a screen protector or do you recommend another one? Thanks

I use the ISkin Vibe, I am blown away by the feel and comfort yet provides great protection. The screen protector that came with it still looks brand new 6+ months in(my original screen protector started to wear out in the hub gesture area pretty badly after about 3 days). I totally recommend it, it really feels good in the hand.

    Good luck picking one!

The Trident Aegis is a good solid case that doesn't add much bulk, but offers great protection. I also have the Seidio Convert which is a dual case for when things get rough.

In my opinion, if you are hard enough with your device to require an Otterbox (or similar) case, it's unlikely that one of the slimmer ones will suffice.

That said, if you're going to go to what I consider a "medium" protective case, my personal favorite is the iSkin Vibe. It's nowhere near as bulky as the Otterbox style, has a nice feel to it, and protected my Z when it went down the stairs like a Slinky. For the screen protector, I agree with lcgoldman. I think the Ghost Armour is great. It goes on the screen of every one of my family's devices as soon as they've been purchased. Somewhat self-healing of scratches, available in regular or matte finish, lifetime guarantee, and installed by someone who's hands are much steadier than mine. Cost is comparable to the premium screen protectors you'd buy and install yourself.

I have the LBT BlackBerry Z10 shock absorbing hard shell case. It did not come with a screen protector.

It seems pretty protective, the hard plastic is only on the back and sides, it has big silicone bumpers top and bottom.

I'd like to be able to vouch for its protectiveness, but in 8 months of ownership, I still haven't dropped my Z10 once. *knock on wood*

How about a case that provides a bit of offset or lip around the screen so that when placed or DROPPED screen down, there is a bit of buffer. But not so much as to interfere with swiping.

They also have it in all black but I like thia one better. Doesn't come with a screen protector but I find screen protectors better than cases that come with a clear plastic on top. The phone's scrwen just feels better.

And it does have the lip around the edges so as to provide that buffer.
