Got it too... can't turn it up too loud or its unbearable, contacted blackberry a few times and they don't seem interested in any kind of warranty repair or replacement , sucks.

For warranty repair you generally contact CARRIERS.

Carrier ain't interested either, I was gonna buy a z30 from ebay a few weeks back, then I thought what if that develops a fault? Another thing that annoys me is you can only contact blackberry on twitter!! No phone, no email...

Verizon has given me BlackBerry phone number twice when I had problems they could not figure out. They do have a number trust me. I can send them my phone and they will replace it for a blown speaker for up to 1 year. Phone comes with 1 year from BlackBerry

exactly. if they are interested in keeping customers, they will honor the warranty.

If you're not willing to crack open a device and repair it yourself, you shouldn't be buying anything used.

I bought a back up one from repairsuniverse.com out of Nevada. They included the tools and a diagram and if you do a search online it rates the Z10 an 8 on a scale from 1-10 as for easier to work on handsets

This is more my thought about BlackBerry! You would think that they are slightly more desperate to keep customers.
I've had 2 phones replaced by nokia ( 1 was nearly two years old) and have many friends with faulty iThings that get replaced.

Oh well, I guess i keep trying, or give up and buy a new phone!

If you purchased the phone new then the Carrier is responsible for warranty repairs or replacement. BB does not deal directly with a customer unless the carrier sends you through. The Playbook was a direct BB contact for warranty.
