It was choppy and buggy on my Passport as well. Had to delete it. I wasn't happy as I like Waze the best out of all the navigation apps I've used.

1. Get a 2A car charger as Waze uses a lot of radio activity thus eats power a lot.
2. Use the latest Android version not the sh tty one from BlackBerry World.

Waze refuses to support BlackBerry. The app is still in app world but they said they don't support BlackBerry anymore.

Waze Android version works great on my Q10.
Keep charged with proper charger as Waze is a power hogger.

It's all about the temp of the phone and battery. Put in a AC vent phone cradle and have the AC going to keep the phone cool and plug on your charger and the battery will stay fully charged while Waze is running. I also keep it in night mode which uses less power as well.

I tried many different versions of waze and they l take 2+min to load up. Screw that noise.

From complete off, to location shown on fully rendered map, and ability to type in search box? Like I said, it's 8secs for me on Passport, and 15secs on Z30.

13 seconds on my Z30. Fully loaded.

Edit: Except for the first time I launch it after installed. The first time after a new installation of Waze always takes a very long time because it is doing something to set itself up. After that, no problem.

Dunno....my z30 will sit there for ages with a blank screen trying to load anything.

Gave up trying that app.

It's not messed up. Waze download some data and make setups. Take some time. but once done it's run stable and fast.

This is what I bought JUST for Waze. It was plugged in on a AC vent clip with cold air behind it and it still took the battery down to almost Battery Saving Mode.

The app does work fine. Loads fine, operates fine but Lawd it eats power.

Need some graphics appointments for the classic (android one) but still one of the best GPS app. No lag, start in ten seconds.

I bought this. It has one USB slot that has a 3.1 A output. It keeps my Z10 at 100% even when I am using Waze.

Some of you must be using low output car adapters. Mine puts out 2.1A, and I never had a problem keeping a charge on my Z30 with Waze running.

Works great on my Verizon Z10, been using it for years, but I agree, It sure uses up the battery. Go out and buy a decent auto power adaptor for your phone.
