I know the z10 is a better phone, but the Nexus 4 is just so CHEAP and great for a cheaper phone at that.
Can someone please talk some sense into me so I don't buy the Nexus 4? Specs? Advantages?
Thanks!

Unfortunately no one can tell you what to buy it's all about personal preference. Why not go to a store and try a Z10 to see how you like it.

The operating system.
Theres enough features in it that were enough to pull me to the Z10 :)

Only thing is every time I walk into the Future Shop I pass frequently, their z10s (and now Q10s) are NEVER charged. I thought it was a coincidence after the second time, but a third and fourth time? Really? They're connected, for all that matter!...smh...
As a current android user.
It gets slow.
Next generation will show up within 3 months.
It will be outdated soon.
Sexy factor.

You will be pleasantly surprised with the z10 performance a smooth operating system. Blackberry always with me

This is a preference...same thing with buying a new car
Z10 is beautiful as an object and the gesture based UI is second to none in ergonomy.
Don't know about bugs, I did not find anything unusual till now (I only bought it last week). Battery life is good for me, also (36 hours+). But I must say I am not a heavy user - I use it for calls, some emails and about an hour of websurfing (in total) per day.
Ummmm, says who? They're both good devices, it's basically different horses for different courses. It all comes down to personal preference. I cetainly wouldn't claim that one is obviously so much better then the other, it depends on the user.
Same with the z10 lol
Hard to tell what your taste is.
You can certainly buy a BMW 328i (BlackBerry) , or save a lot of money and buy a Ford Fiesta (Nexus 4).
It's totally up to you.

That's a horrible comparison. The Nexus 4 has a quad core processor, 2GB of Ram, an 8MP camera, etc., etc.,. It certainly isn't a 'cheap' phone from a technical/specification pov, it actually meets or surpasses the z10 in most areas. Google just sells it for such a low price because they can, essentially. They have so many streams of revenue that they can afford to make next to nothing on the Nexus 4, just to show off Android and get a device in peoples hands. If BB decided to do the same thing (not that they ever could), would the z10 be a KIA all of a sudden?
How badly do you want the Hub? Or do you prefer Android's dropdown notification shade?
I have an Android and Z10, and that's probably the biggest real-world difference I notice between the two.
That and Android's SwiftKey Flow. Oh how I love SwiftKey swiping...
You can also change nearly *anything* with the Nexus, much as you could with legacy BBs. If you want to customize your notifications, grab Light Flow and it's almost like having an old BB again.
Having said all that, the Z10 is IMHO more elegant to use with it's gesture interface. And its handy having all your stuff in the Hub. In time, I'd imagine Android and iOS will be becoming more like BB10 rather than vice-versa, so it's kinda neat being part of that wave ;)
I have a Nexus 7. The way to go is a Z10 and a tablet IMO.
The N4 has no LTE just as an FYI and the keyboard, OS and mail just do no compare.

google Nexus 4 bluetooth issues before you decide or for that matter, any of the google/nexus line for the same query.
Okay. Change that to Kia Forte.

It's more like an Audi S4 for the price of a Kia Forte ;)
Don't get me wrong, I love BB, I've been on a BB since the 8700, and I love the z10. The OS has numerous benefits over Android, but looking exclusively at hardware, the Nexus has the z10 beat. Of course, their is much more to a smartphone then just 'specs'.
Really?? With the z10 you have to install android apps to make it function like a smartphones been doing for the better part of three years.

Android will always get slower and slower and slower.... no matter what the specs are

The Z10 is amazing But bugs still exists. So be patient with it for the first six months or so if you decide to pick one up. And don't judge the phone by visiting a store. Until you personalize the phone and make it yours you won't see the full potential. Good luck

Yes it is a personal choice, but I will tell you something. I came from iPhone 5, and don't get me wrong, I was happy with the iPhone 5, I was more than just an average user (if you know what I mean), but now I have been using the BlackBerry Z10, and I got a spare phone yesterday (iPhone 5), but nothing makes me want to go back to iOS.
BlackBerry has everything I need and it handles it better and does it better than iOS or Android OS.
The HUB is one of those things you will never have on that Nexus 4. It is very useful.

I think the first question to asked is- What do you need from a device? Is it for emails, text, etc... communications? Web Browsing? Apps- meaning games, mobile banking, business apps? To match your clothing (just kidding)? Answer this question and I am sure we can find something that would work for you...
Bunnies come flopping out the Z10's screen. Can the Nexus do THAT?!
Yeah, I thought not.
BTW, j/k
I just came from Android. Android is the new Windows, but the Nexus tames that problem a bit. If you like tinkering a lot, or really like Google Maps, I'd go with the Nexus. If you want a solid foundation centered around communications, go with the Z10.
