After I updated to 10.1.0.2039 with Verizon; I was noticing VERY bad battery life... only getting about 6hrs out if a full charge; and phone would be consistently "warm" to the touch.

Did some troubleshooting and narrowed it down to my Active sync accounts (an Exchange and Office 365 exchange account). I turned OFF the "Push" email function and did a Sync Interval of 5 minutes and BOOM, the battery life extended big time.

Hope that helps someone else out there... Enjoy!

I have had the same horrible battery since the update too (it was excellent before), and I have a personal Exchange account, so I just did what you did and turned off the push. Actually, I turned off push on all my other email accounts too. I hope that fixes it, but honestly, we should be able to have push enabled without reducing the battery life in half.
