Today, I had an opportunity to experiment with an internet search via voice prompts. Worked well, only it appears that "Bing" is the default search engine when you do that...

IS this baked in, or can it be changed to google, or another search engine?

Bing is the locked searched engine, as of now.

yeah... LOL....can't imagine why BB didn't jump on the GOOGLE band wagon....

WOULD be nice if that could be user-selectrable, at least between several of the major search engines.

Bing.com is the best search engine. That's why it's default.

That's subjective. What's best for you may be worst for me. Would be nice if one had a choice.

You can click on another search engine before you submit your search.
