I spoke to verizon technical service, they stated it is a blackberry issue and a new update will be out this month that will correct the problem, Time will tell

I am having the same problem with both Voice Mail notifications and BBM notifications. I am showing 255 voice mails (have not received that many calls since I had the phone). The voice mails that I DID receive have deleted with no problem ... it is the (false) notification in the Hub that remains. Similarly, with BBM, it is showing two notifications (both real contacts) both at 3:40 am. Selecting the entry in the Hub delivers an empty black screen. Have tried rebooting (many times), have tried resetting the Hub (many times). Only way I can get rid of the notifications is to take BBM and VM out of the Hub, which seems to kind of defeat the purpose.

I had the same problem on my bold 9700, i called the *611 telus number and they were able to reset my hub icon, simple fix, took less than 10 minutes. Maybe this is an option you can try.

Something worked for me and hopefully will to everyone else. In the hub you can select multiple notifications to delete but with this voicemail glitch the delete button stays grey(can't press). Here's what you do, call yourself from you're phone just like to get to voicemail, hang up (just make sure the call appears in you're log) then in the Hub select the voicemail notification and your phone log, delete option should be available.
