    Hello again people.

Happy new year, wish you all the best in 2015

Recently I noticed that my Z10 no longer refocuses during video recording. If it is not recording it has no problem, as soon as the objects become out of focus it refocuses, however during the recording the focus stays the same as when it started. I am able to change the focus by dragging the square to the thing i want to focus, but when i'm trying to shoot moving objects, it is too complicated to refocus manually every 10 seconds. It did work before, although i have no idea when exactly the autofocus stopped working.
Any of you ever experienced this bug? I don't really want to do a security wipe right now.

Happy New Year to you, also.

    I presume you have restarted?

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

Thanks, but I did try several times. Unfortunately it doesn't help.

Do you recall when you updated the OS? Since you don't recall when the "change" occurred, could it have been an OS upgrade? Or what about any new apps that might use the camera?

I guess you could experiment if you have time/patience and install a different OS. I, myself, have rarely used the video aspect of the phone so I don't have much experience with it.

I did receive a small update maybe 2 months ago, but I make videos maybe once every 2-3 months, that's why I can't be sure when this started happening.

Do you have continuous video focus enabled in camera settings?

There is no such setting for me. Since I haven't tried 10.3 yet, I'm not sure if this is a 10.3 setting or just for the Passport.

Yes it's the same problem. I searched for auto focus, so I guess that's why I didn't find it. I tried some of the suggestions in your thread, but nothing worked.
