What is the best application to download video to save it for offline viewing ?
the application should also download any video while browsing and not restricted to you tube.

It works the same as it does on your desktop. You click a download link and it saves the video. I think you are talking about how to save streaming video, is this correct?

I guess yes , some time when browsing there is a video, previously in old OS while trying to view it , you would be asked whether to save it or just view it. i want such option . how to save it ?

    thanks for your reply

Long tap the video link and choose save link as someone said. Can you give me an example video on a webpage to try for myself? Some embedded videos prevent downloading...

It seems the page i was trying had prevented this, as it worked as mentioned on another page. It is not working also for you tube videos.

for that i asked if there is some application that saves the buffered videos to the sd card and can be viewed from there !!

    thanks and regards

I am also unable to save videos from facebook on my Q10. Please can anybody guide me step-by-step on how to do this. When I long click on the link, it does not give me the option to 'save as'. Also, if the video is posted directly on Facebook without a link, the video only streams without giving me the option to save it. I am not very good with technology, so please bear with me. thanks a lot!

I'm a new user of the Q10 and I have had troubles trying to save videos from Web links sent to me mostly on bbm. However, I understand the long press of a media link and the option of "save link" but in most cases it only stream the videos without that option.

It's probably against some copyright laws or something. That's just my assumption given every app that ripped streaming media has been pulled from BlackBerry World. YouTube has also started blocking browser add-ons from downloading videos from their site.

Heres what I did. Its a long process but it works. Download the "Naija Browser" from appworld, then copy the page that leads to the video link, open the naija browser, page the link on the url request tab, then when you click on the video from that browser it should give u the option to download the video before it opens it.

I have seen many people wandering about to download facebook and youtube videos and some refers you to change your browser to ucbrowser or opera mini etc. But I have a solution within your built-in browser.
When you click any link of a video it opens in a new tab with a video player. Follow further steps to download your videos.
1: Make the video player shorter and open the options from the right botton click.
2: Select the Page Save Option and locate it's explorer where you want to save i.
3: Last step is just you have to do is rename it to anything but don't forget to make its extention as .mp4
There you go, now the page will be downloaded with a video icon on it and when it will finish downloading you can play that video.
Let me know when you find it interesting

Here's a simple way to download Facebook videos.
    • You must have Video Converter Ultimate installed in your PC.
    • Copy the Facebook URL
    • Go to "Download" and paste it on the URL box
    • It will start downloading videos immediately

Done! Your video has been downloaded
