Finally got the update from Verizon, showed 532MB. Downloaded, installed to 100%... then started downloading ANOTHER time, this time it shows 1004 MB!? Downloaded, now installing (80%). But I'm confused (and a little worried). Any insights? (I had been running the 10.2.0.179 leak for months)

UPDATE: Finally completed the 2nd install, shows 1004 MB installed, rebooting now...

UPDATE: Reboot took only about 10 minutes. Looks good so far. HUB took another 10 or so to reform. THEN... it said I had a 12 MB Software update! So I just did that... ??

If the incremental update fails then it downloads and installs the full OS, which is ~1GB.

My Z10 showed a 632MB download and then a 2GB download...still waiting on the second to complete....I wonder if this is normal? Any theories

People, keep trying both ways (BlackBerry website and BlackBerry link). I had to try 10 times before the installation was a success. It takes patience, but I understand your frustration.

    So far...looks good, but...

even after a full 1004 MB OTA install, security - application permissions still shows "there are no applications to manage", a problem I had on the 10.2.0 leak. I was so expecting the new install to fix that!

People have been using the same exact OS version as what VZW just released since it was leaked December 18th. That problem has been discussed at length and it is still an issue. How many apps do you have installed?

Probably something in excess of 120. And I use most of them! No reason for a number of apps limit, just a bug. Surprised it wasn't fixed in 10.2.1. Anyone know a work around? Seems like this would be a priority over at BlackBerry due to the security reputation...

I have a friend that downloaded this update and when the Z10 rebooted it froze at the big blue Blackberry logo and sits for hours frozen. He says he can't do anything, only way to shutdown is to yank the battery. Help! If you can...

Last week I installed the 10.2.0.1 (1925) leak with Autoloader. And yesterday I got a 7MB OS update OTA.

Do I now have the official update or am I still running the leak?

OS Update likely just added Verizon's apps, etc.
Main three I notice are Bing for Verizon, My Verizon, Backup Plus Contacts.
Some refer to it as Verizon's bloatware. Sure you technically have official release.

    Okey, thanks!
Perhaps a stupid question, but is bing the only search engine within the browser?

You have to go to the search engine website in the browser. If you can add it or is supported, the option should appear in the actions menu as "add search".

What happens if the batter is reinserted? Still locking up?

He should try reloading the OS using the BB Link software.

Download BB Link if necessary and install. Run it. Plug in a good working usb cable. See if Link provides an UPDATE or Upgrade or FIX option. Allow it to run its course.

Running hot and battery is draining after the upgrade this morning.

Will keep it turned off for a while and see if I find a solution somewhere.

Put it in the radio mode, and pull the battery for 30 minutes. Then put the battery back in an power up. This worked for me but after two days. Your O/S may still need some time to settle, but give it a shot
