I just picked up a job site radio that has a stereo AUX jack. It claims it can play MP3s and other devises. Can I use my Z10 to play music onto it via AUX jack. Can I play music for FAST TUBE with it? Please help.

I don't see why not. I did the same thing in my car with my Z10 and an aux jack cable

So I can simply plug into AUX cable, go to FAST TUBE, pick a video and I'll hear it through the speakers of the radio? I'll have to try it again since it didn't work the first time.

I would check that the radio is set to aux. If you can hear it with a set headphones it will work with an aux port.

I must be missing something or have something switched off. My wife plugs her iPhone and works w/ no problem. I try it with my Z10 and hear only sound from phone speaker, not portable radio speakers. Any ideas?

Make sure you push the connection cord hard into your Z10. Mine is a bit tricky that way.

Make sure you have the jack plugged in all the way. It clicks a bit after you plug it in all the way. It may seem like it is all the way in, but you need to push it in more than you'd expect.

I'm listening music and YouTube from my z10 connected with my car radio through aux. If the iPhone works so must your z10. Try restarting your z10, sometimes your aux isn't detected by your phone. Also does a standard headphone works when you plug it in for listening music?

Well, I just confirmed that a standard headphone plugged into my Z10 is not working. Only hearing Fast tube videos from phone speakers. Now what?

You have the BlackBerry virtual expert as well that can test your headphone jack. I use mini speaker or you can use music gateway. Makes your phone handsfree and cord free for 25-30 bucks if you find the right deal

Thanks. Just did the BB Virtual expert and it's not detecting the headphones when I plug them into jack on phone. I guess I'm S.O.L. Unless someone knows of a fix or I'm missing something.

That's a bummer. So you tried a restart of the phone? Clean it by blowing in to it. Maby give it al little tap on the back side of the phone, or turn your headphone aux a few times around in the phone.

It could be anything. Loose connection inside the phone, software issue or maby just dirt.

I've found some speaker/cable combinations confuse my Z30. For example, I have a pair of headphones that have a detachable cable. The headphones and cable have phone call capability, so there is an additional contact point on the cable. Using them both together plugged into my phone works fine, but using that same cable in my car stereo, which doesn't support phone calls, won't work. The Z30 says there is nothing plugged into the headphone jack. But it's not the fault of the stereo, because using a different cable without the additional microphone contact works perfectly. If it's possible, I would try using a different cable. It may just fix your problem.
