    Didnt realise we could use use Google Maps via the browser! Did a search in Google, clicked on the link and hey presto, google maps. Dont have to side load the app

    I prefer the sideloaded version, less 'buttons' and things to type

    And then choose "Save to home Screen" in the browser overflow menu and you have a Google maps icon to launch it each time.
