Got a factory unlocked Z10. Put my US AT&T SIM into it (from a Bold 9900) but the Z10 won't recognize the SIM. When I put it back in my original 9900 it works, so the SIM seems ok, but Z10 won't recognize it. Anyone have this issue? Any tips?

You need a micro sim card.

Yes the SIM doesn't fit in the Z10 as it takes a Micro. If you are using the same SIM in each device something is wrong.

No, AT&T should give you another sim card without charging you a fee. Also you do not have to sign another two year contract.

Just remember the micro sim won't work on the 9900 ok, unless you buy a micro sim adapter tray.

How did you put it into the Z10? SIM adapters work well. I switch devices constantly so i bought the SIM cutter and adapters for about $6 on amazon.

when you ask for the sim card ask them for a smartphone lte plan. otherwise you may not get lte speed

I cut it to fit, although Z10 never recognized it. It's still ok in the 9900 because the sim is under the battery so it doesn't slip. Got a new sim for the Z10 - micro sim. It automatically picked up LTE without changing plans.

I cut mine to fit too and it didn't work but I turned it around and it started working *shrugs*. LTE is not available in my area so I didn't even see a point in going into the store.

I think the main difference between the STL100-1 and the STL100-3 is LTE. They should both work with HSPA+. The STL100-1 might not have LTE in the US.

It's the STL 100-2 and this is what's in the specs 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network UMTS 850 / 900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2600.

The stl100-1 does not have LTE at all. The hot model is the T-Mobile variant of the stl100-3. It works on everything, except Cdma of course. STL100-3 (RFK121LW) is a pentaband phone. Pentaband phones are quite rare.
