Well, I upgraded from 9810 to Z10. Took advantage of the BB $100 off. Generally I like it very much. Browser is super fast and way better. Can't figure out how to get my Twitter notifications, I am somewhat sure it's a user error, but I've checked everything. Screen is nice. Not sure how robust the glass is on it. There are a couple BB7 Apps I miss, most especially "Wikinvest". I so do like the keyboard..darned thing knows what i am going to say before I try to type it...amazing. This really is a sharp phone and guess what....I actually got congratulated by some (3) Android users who where impressed with the Z10.

Congrats on the new Z10!

If you like cases you'll have many more options with Z10 over a Torch. My favourite was the BB Transform shell.

For Twitter notifications, the Hub will show you new mentions, retweets, favorites, and DMs, but there are no alerts just for new tweets by your Followed list. Also, you must add Twitter as an account to the Hub, it doesn't happen automatically after you sign in with the app. Hopefully that answered your question.

Not sure what Wikinvest is, a stock trading app? If so, there are several BB10 alternatives. I don't have much experience with them, but one simply called Stocks is very popular. (It's a paid app though.)

Don't try to check the robustness of the glass. The display is attached to the glass meaning it will break if the glass break other than that everything's perfect. Plus update it to latest OS as soon as possible to enjoy new features.

Welcome to the Z10 club. We have two in our household and they have been great. I carry mine naked while my daughter has six cases for hers. Both in great shape. I really like the LCD display vs amoled, the keyboard and size.

I also came from a 9810 to a Z10, though that was back on launch day in Canada. I went naked for the first year (just the leather holster) but have recently thrown on the Seidio Convert Combo case - with a newborn in the house, the phone seems to get tossed around a bit more than it used to! This is the best mobile device I've had to date - you'll love it.

I moved from a 9810 to a Z10 and whilst I've been impressed with the way the phone operates I'm ditching it for an android. After several trouble free years with blackberry this is the second Z10 in 6 months that all alerts switch off for no reason so I'm sorry to say it's going I've had enough.

I have never had any trouble with my Z10, got it soon after introduction with ATT
