Does anyone else keep getting an Os update showing up that has the exact same number as the one installed on the phone. I have 10.0.10.85. My update option from settings showed me I had a five mgb update to the exact same numbers. But I thought maybe there is something new so I installed it. Now today I have yet another update, this time 8mgb to the exact same numbers 10.0.10.85 is this happening to anyone else? Is this an actual update or a huge bug that wastes space on my phone?

Yup its carrier Bloatware. Plenty of threads on this.

Option 1 is to install and bury the apps in a folder u never use.

Option 2 ignore the notification. If u delete the apps the notification will continue.

I've used option 2 as my carrier Rogers keeps pushing some unneeded apps to my device.

Common Issue, if you delete the app that are pushed out by your carrier, you will see an update that will reinstall these apps again

As others have said, boat ware - not only carrier but also BlackBerry offered stock apps....

Having said that, I have not seen it any more with O2 for a while, so either they or BlackBerry fixed something.

I did not check manually though just no automatic update notification.

Yeah I had the main update of 151mb and then the next day got another of 11mb which reinstalled the stock apps like Facebook and foursquare back onto my phone after I'd deleted them. I think it depends on your carrier as to how many times you get alerted to the unnecessary updates, as it only happened once with me on O2 UK.
